Easter morning Mom provided Easter baskets for Alyce, Luke, and myself with lots of candy and in my case some Legos. As Alyce and I were digging into our baskets Alyce noticed something amiss; Mommy didn't have a basket. She said to Mommy that "the Easter Bunny forgot your Easter basket... He'll bring it later". Mommy responded with silence as she wasn't prepared for such a statement. Before Mom came up with an answer Alyce said "you can have some of my candy".
Isn't this just the sweetest thing ever? I'm sure a child psychologist could outline all types of developmental milestones. I just know that I have best little girl in the world.

Thanks
A few days ago I was sitting on the blue chair watching a tv show while Alyce was sitting next to me working on a Dora the Explorer puzzle. On occasion a puzzle piece would shift out of place stopping her from putting in the next piece. One time I helped Alyce push a piece back into place. Alyce, without skipping a beat says "thanks" and continues with her puzzle. I pulled her over, said "that is very nice of you", and kissed her on the head.
What a great kid.

Little Sweetheart
Tonight Alyce was a little sweetheart. I was cold sitting on my chair. Mom asked if I wanted a blanket. I said I would get it after Alyce went to bed. Alyce looked up at mom and said "Daddy?". Mom told her that I would get a blanket later. Well apparently this wasn't good enough for her. Alyce got up off the couch, grabbed a blanket, and brought it over to me. Wasn't that sweet of her? The blanket was very warm. I am so lucky I have a girl like her.
